The Investment Casting Process

Investment Casting, also known as lost-wax casting, is an industrial process used to create metal parts with great detail that would be difficult to achieve with other casting methods. It is one of the oldest metal-forming techniques dated back to 5,000yeas ago, in which molten metal is poured into a mold. Today, investment casting is commonly used in aluminum alloys, bronze alloys, cast iron, and stainless steel industry. The process comprises following seven steps:
